BMW 5 Series in Malaysia price increased by up to RM8k for 2023, other models up 1.1-6.3%

BMW Malaysia has released the latest updated price list for 2023, which sees a price hike on several models. The company attributes the price increase to the “current challenges with regards to global inflation and rising manufacturing costs”, it said in a statement.

Could the facelifted 2022 BMW 3 Series be launched here in Malaysia this year?

Most models in the brand’s stable here in Malaysia have been affected by the price hike, with the only few exceptions being the entire G20 3 Series (320i, 330i, 330e, and 330Li), the F48 X1 range (sDrive18i and sDrive20i), and the fully-electric iX3.

The former two’s omission could be the strongest hint that we will be getting the 2022 G20 BMW 3 Series facelift and the all-new U11 X1 here in Malaysia soon.

As for the models affected by the price increase, the BMW M135i xDrive sees a 1.1% increase, the BMW 218i M Sport Gran Coupe a 3.1% hike, the BMW 630i GT M Sport a 2.8% increase, and the BMW Z4 sDrive30i M Sport, a 3.2% increase.

The BMW 5 Series line-up here in Malaysia meanwhile see a price hike ranging from 2.0-3.7%, while the X models (X3, X4, X5, and X6) see a price increase between 1.6% to 5.8%. As for the fully-electric models, both the i4 and iX are also affected by an inflated price tag ranging from 2.6-6.3%.

The prices above are inclusive of the Service and Repair Inclusive, which extends the vehicle’s warranty to five years (unlimited mileage, up from two years), and also comes with a five-year unlimited mileage service package. Customers can also opt for the standard two-year warranty for a lower sticker price.

Noting the price increase, BMW Malaysia assures its owners will be able to “enjoy more new feature enhancements” in all of its models purchased in the year ahead.
