Mini Cooper S, Cooper SE, Clubman, Countryman, JCW – prices increased for 2023 in Malaysia

Mini Malaysia has released the updated price list for its models here on our shores, which sees an increase in prices ranging from 0.2% to 4.1% across the board, depending on variant. According to a statement, the company attributes the price rises to the global inflation and rising manufacturing costs.

Starting with the Mini 3 Door, the standard Cooper S model now retails at RM273,888 (with Extended Warranty & Service Package) thanks to a 0.3% rise in prices. The fully-electric Cooper SE meanwhile sees a more sizeable increase of 4.1%, now retailing at RM199,164. Customers can however now specify their Cooper SE without a head-up display, which drops the price to RM196,876.

The same 0.3% price hike for the Cooper S is also applicable for the Convertible (RM299,888), 5 Door (RM280,888), and Clubman Cooper S (312,888) models, but the Mini Countryman Cooper S does see a more significant price hike of 1.9% to now RM259,888. For the latter, 2022 model-year units are still available at no price increase at RM254,988.

John Cooper Works models meanwhile see a price increase of 0.2% to 0.3% across the board. The full price list can be found in the table below.

In view of the price hikes, the company assures that its customers will be able to “enjoy more new feature enhancements” in all of their cars purchased in the year ahead.
