The Malaysia Autoshow 2025 is wrapping up tomorrow, after running from May 9-15! Here, we’ve compiled a list of 12 new cars shown at the event; some of which are heading to showrooms this year, while others might just be a sneak peek of what Malaysia will be getting soon!

The Chery Tiggo 7 CSH PHEV, with CSH standing for ‘Chery Super Hybrid’, is essentially the plug-in hybrid variant of the Tiggo 7 Pro already available in Malaysia. The PHEV powertrain under the hood is the same as the Jaecoo J7 PHEV, featuring a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four engine working with an electric motor to deliver a combined output of 347 hp and 525 Nm.
Drawing power from an 18.3 kWh battery pack, the Tiggo 7 CSH PHEV boasts a pure EV range of 95 km and a combined range exceeding 1,200 km.
2. Chery Tiggo Cross
The second Chery model on preview is the B-segment Chery Tiggo Cross. It’s similar in size to the Proton X50 expect that it offers two powertrain options. There’s a pure internal combustion engine variant with 147 hp and 210 Nm from a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with a six-speed DCT, and another variant with 204 hp and 310 Nm from a CSH hybrid powertrain. Prices are expected to be under RM100,000.
3. Omoda C7
The Omoda C7 shares similar dimensions with the Jaecoo J7. This futuristic-looking SUV is set for a Malaysian launch soon, with registrations of interest currently open. While Chery Malaysia hasn’t revealed powertrain specifications for the Omoda C7, it’s anticipated to feature the same powertrains as the Jaecoo J7: a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing 197 hp and 290 Nm, or a PHEV powertrain delivering a combined output of 360 hp and 530 Nm.

Set to be Malaysia’s first luxury PHEV MPV upon its official launch later this year, the GAC M8 boasts a claimed range of up to 1,038 km on a full charge and tank.
