The Tesla Model Y facelift “Launch Series” is no longer available in Malaysia. A cursory check of the Tesla Malaysia website now shows that only the standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant, priced at RM195,450, and the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant, priced at RM242,450, are available, with both maintaining the same initial launch prices from before.

Introduced as a limited release during the launch of the Model Y facelift in Malaysia, the Launch Series featured exclusive additions like a unique rear badge, puddle light design, and a ‘launch’ word mark on the doorsill plates. The interior also received exclusive treatment, boasting variant-specific charging console and floor mats with special badging, silver accents, and all-black vegan suede upholstery.
Beyond aesthetics, the Tesla Model Y Launch Series AWD variant also benefits from ‘Acceleration Boost’, enabling a faster 0-100 km/h sprint time of 4.3 seconds – 0.5 seconds quicker than the standard AWD variant’s 4.8 seconds. The RWD variant, which does not have this feature, reaches 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

Standard interior equipment include a new eight-inch rear touchscreen on the centre console, and a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment display on the dashboard.
In terms of range, the RWD variant achieves 466 km (WLTP), and the AWD variant offers 551 km (WLTP). Tesla states that Supercharging can add 238 km of range to the RWD variant and 283 km to the AWD variant in 15 minutes.
Deliveries for the RWD and AWD variants of the Tesla Model Y facelift in Malaysia are expected between July and September 2025.
