Hyundai introduces Smart Lease Programme for Grand Starex MPV – from RM2,800/month

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) today launched a new Smart Lease Programme for the Hyundai Grand Starex, in partnership with Sime Darby Rent A Car (SDRAC). The programme is open to corporations, businesses, as well as individuals, offering three- to five-year leases with additional savings.

With the Smart Lease Programme, customers can enjoy the ownership experience of a new Hyundai Grand Starex without worrying about loan applications, long-term maintenance cost, road tax, and insurance payments. At the end of the lease, there’s also no need to worry about resale value or think about disposal of said vehicle.

To sign up, customers will only need to furnish a two-month deposit, and a booking fee of RM500 upon signing of the Hyundai Smart Lease Agreement. After that, each monthly payment will be of a pre-agreed fixed monthly fee.

The new Smart Lease Programme is offered with all four variants of the Grand Starex – Standard Corporate, Executive Plus without body kits, Executive Plus with body kits, and Executive Prime.

The Grand Starex now comes as standard with Hyundai’s telematics system. Learn more about it here.

Monthly payment starts from RM2,800 for the Standard Corporate variant in a five-year leasing programme, with mileage capped at 15,000 km per annum, that also includes a car replacement benefit of three days.

Customers can choose to extend the mileage cap up to 30,000 km per annum or 40,000 km per annum with a monthly repayment of RM3,250 and RM3,550 respectively.

At the end of the leasing programme, customers can also opt to renew the lease with a brand-new unit. Hyundai estimates that customers will save approximately RM17,000 with the new Smart Lease Programme, when compared to a standard ownership over a five-year period.

The Hyundai Grand Starex is a large 11-seater people carrier, powered by a 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine that’s good for 170 hp and 441 Nm, paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include swivel seats on the second row, four airbags, reverse camera, and an overhead display entertainment system.

HSDM also recently introduced a new Extended Warranty Programme for older models. Check it out here.

Interested parties can enquire about the new leasing programme at any Hyundai showrooms nationwide, or register their interest via HSDM’s website, linked here.
