Dunlop reaffirms commitment to Malaysia with expanded tyre lineup, dealership network

Dunlop is signalling its long-term commitment to the market with the expansion of its dealer network, and the introduction of a new range of tyres, following its recent reintroduction in Malaysia under the stewardship of Toyotsu Binter.

In the few months since the brand’s debut at the 2026 Penang Autoshow, Dunlop has expanded its dealer network by over 30%, growing from approximately 150 to now over 200 outlets nationwide. The company says the milestone is a reflection of the growing confidence by its dealers and service partners, backed by its long-standing presence in Malaysia since 1963 as the first local tyre production facility in the country.

In tandem with the dealership network push is the new lineup of Dunlop tyres in Malaysia, which the company says is centred around “making premium tyre technology more accessible”, with options forr passenger sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, as well as electric vehicles.

These include the Dunlop SP Touring R1, a comfort-skewed touring tyre for family sedans and compact vehicles, the Blue Response TG for everyday passenger vehicles with enhanced wet grip and braking performance, the SP Sport Maxx 060+ for drivers seeking for a more aggressive handling profile, as well as the Grandtrek R/T01, AT5, and PT5 for SUVs and pickup trucks – the former a rugged terrain option for those who frequently go off the beaten path.
