Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has announced that the Ioniq 5 N and the Ioniq 6 N are now open for booking in Malaysia, with prices estimated to start from RM450,000 and RM460,000, respectively. Both performance EVs will be on display at the Hyundai booth during the Penang Autoshow 2026, which runs from 1-3 May 2026.
Powering the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N is a dual-motor powertrain producing a combined 650 hp (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque when the N Grin Boost feature is engaged for 10 seconds. This setup enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.4 seconds for the Ioniq 5 N and 3.2 seconds for the Ioniq 6 N, with top speeds of 260 km/h and 257 km/h, respectively.
The two models share the same 84 kWh battery pack that supports 350 kW DC fast charging, allowing for a 10-80% top-up in 18 minutes. This enables the Ioniq 5 N to cover 448 km (WLTP) on a single charge, while the more aerodynamic Ioniq 6 N stretches that figure to 487 km (WLTP).
Inside, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N feature driver-focused trimmings, including N e-Shift, which simulates an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and N Active Sound+, which pumps synthesised pops and bangs into the cabin while broadcasting them to the outside world.

Drivers also get the N Drift Optimiser to help maintain a consistent drift angle, a dedicated N steering wheel, bolstered sports bucket seats, and a unique head-up display designed to feed the driver essential performance data.
With bookings now open for Hyundai’s naughty duo, the official launch for the pair remains on track for Q2 2026, following HMY’s earlier confirmation of their Malaysian arrival.
