2026 Hyundai Stargazer B-MPV previewed in Malaysia – now open for booking from est. RM99k

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY), at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, has previewed the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer. Order books for the new B-segment MPV are now open, with prices estimated to start from RM99,000. Set to launch locally very soon, the Stargazer will be offered in three variants and with a choice of six- or seven-seat configurations.

Estimate pricing:

Hyundai Stargazer Style – RM99,000

Hyundai Stargazer Prime –  RM109,000

Hyundai Stargazer X –  RM121,000

The 2026 Hyundai Stargazer measures 4,575 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,710 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,780 mm. This places it in the B-segment MPV category, competing with cars such as the Mitsubishi Xpander, the Perodua Alza, and its sister car, the Toyota Veloz.

The model previewed here is the facelifted version that has already gone on sale in several neighbouring markets. At both ends, full-width light bars are linked to vertical light strips on the flanks, creating Hyundai’s distinctive ‘H’ lighting signature. Up front, the MPV features a large grille with a rectangular grid pattern, while the front and rear bumpers adopt bold, gaping trim elements that further emphasise its rugged appearance.

Hyundai Stargazer X variant

Hyundai says the entry-level Style variant comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels and front and rear LED combination lights, while the higher-spec Prime variant gains larger 17-inch alloy wheels. Sitting at the top of the range, the flagship X variant receives a sportier appearance with exclusive styling elements, including a unique front grille, dedicated bumper trim, overfenders, a rear spoiler, and gloss black alloy wheels.

Inside, the ‘H’ theme continues through the extensive use of straight lines and geometric forms, most evident in the silver-accented dashboard. The entry-level Style variant features a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster paired with an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen. Stepping up to the Prime and X variants brings a dual-screen setup comprising two 10.25-inch displays — one serving as the digital instrument cluster and the other as the infotainment touchscreen, complete with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

As standard, the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer is offered in a seven-seat configuration with a 2+3+2 seating layout. A six-seat arrangement featuring a 2+2+2 layout is reserved exclusively for the flagship X variant. The seat materials also vary by grade, with the Style receiving fabric seats, the Prime upgraded to a fabric and faux leather combination, and the X featuring full leather upholstery.

All variants of the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer are powered by the same naturally aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 115 hp and 147 Nm of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the front wheels through Hyundai’s Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), an enhanced version of a conventional CVT that uses a chain belt instead of a rubber belt, along with adaptive control software designed to improve durability, responsiveness and efficiency.

On the safety front, Hyundai says the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer will come standard with two airbags, with the Prime and X variants receiving six airbags as well as the marque’s suite of SmartSense level 2.0 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). This includes features such as Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with stop-and-go function, Forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA), Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA), and Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).

The 2026 Hyundai Stargazer is now officially open for booking starting from an estimated RM99,000 for the Style, RM109,000 for the Prime, and RM121,000 for the range-topping X. In conjunction with the preview, HMM is also offering an early bird promotion package worth up to RM4,600 to the first 800 customers who place their bookings. This includes an eight-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty, eight times or four years free service, RM88 booking fee, and RM1,000 all-star reward for existing Hyundai owners.
