Mitsubishi has given the victorious Mitsubishi Triton from our pick-up challenge a bright new exterior colour to go with its handsome exterior. The new Sun Flare Orange Pearl colour option is exclusively available for the Adventure X variant.
Like the Triton Knight, the striking new colour is also finished with decals but with a simpler silver stripe that runs from the front fenders to the rear doors. The Sun Flare Orange Pearl joins Jet Black Mica and White Diamond colour line-up for the Triton Adventure X.
Mechanically, the Triton is powered by the same 2.4-litre MIVEC VGT engine with 181 hp and 430 Nm of torque. Transmission wise, there’s a new 6-speed automatic along with a 6-speed manual transmission in the lower variants.
Depending on which variant you buy, the Triton will be available with a new Super Select 4WD II system which we tested that comes with four driving modes: Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand, and Rock.
Aside from the more premium, fully-loaded Adventure X model, there is also the Triton Quest starting from RM79,800. Launched late last year, it’s a pick-up in the simplest form, for brick and mortar purposes.
Prices for the Triton 4×4 models start from RM100,200 all the way up to RM137,900 for the top grade Adventure X model.
