Despite what Eu Jin is about to tell you in the video, what you are seeing here is actually very important consumer advice material. I’m sure all of you have been dying to know which pick-up truck performs the best in three very specific situations – an all-out drag race, tight and twisty slalom test track, and off-roading while carrying an uncovered box of water.
That is why we called up some of our industry friends for a historic collaboration to put it to bed once and for all – which is the best pick-up truck of all (in these specific situations).
Representing Isuzu is the D-Max Z-Prestige 3.0L with 174 hp and 380 Nm, driven by Hisham Jahudi of Roda Pusing TV. The Toyota camp sent out the Hilux 2.8L Black Edition with 177 hp and 450 Nm, with Abang Gan from PanduLaju at the wheels. Nissan’s contender is the Navara VL with 190 hp and 450 Nm, in the hands of Bobby Ang of Evo Malaysia.
Next up, we have the Mitsubishi Triton VGT Adventure X packing 181 hp and 430 Nm, driven by Tom Goh of ZeroToHundred. And last but not least is the Ford Ranger XLT+ with 180 hp and 420 Nm, piloted by our very own Eu Jin.
