Rally-inspired Mitsubishi Triton Championship Edition debuts in Malaysia – Premium and Athlete variants, from RM156k

Mitsubishi Triton Athlete Championship Edition

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) is bringing the glory of the Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) to the roads. Celebrating the marque’s victory at AXCR 2025, which comes three years after their maiden win in 2022. The company is introducing Championship Edition variants for the Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium and the Triton Athlete on 11th March 2026. Prices start at RM155,980 and RM169,980 on-the-road without insurance, respectively.

Limited to 120 units, the Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium Championship Edition swaps the standard exterior colour for an exclusive White Diamond exterior paint job. The standard wheels are replaced with 18-inch black sport alloy wheels, while the existing exterior kit is bolstered by a styling bar, a front lower bumper garnish, and distinctive body decals. Inside, the cabin adds Championship aesthetic headrest covers.

Mitsubishi Triton AT Premium Championship Edition

On the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete Championship Edition, which is limited to 150 units, the exterior is finished exclusively in Jet Black Mica and gains all-terrain tyres and distinctive body decals.

Interior upgrades are tech-focused, featuring a new nine-inch centre infotainment display (up from the standard eight-inch unit) and an all-round surround view monitor. The cabin also features Championship aesthetic headrest covers for the front seats to complement the two-tone black-orange leatherette and suede-knit upholstery.

18-inch black alloy wheel on Triton AT Premium Championship Edition

The powertrain for both variants remains unchanged. The Triton AT Premium is powered by a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing 184 hp and 430 Nm. This is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to an Easy Select 4WD setup.

The Triton Athlete is powered by the high-output 2.4-litre “Hyperpower” two-stage turbodiesel four-cylinder engine, delivering 204 hp and 470 Nm. This is also paired with a six-speed automatic transmission but features the more advanced Super Select 4WD-II system, offering seven drive modes.

Mitsubishi Triton Athlete Championship Edition

For safety, the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete Championship Edition is equipped with a suite of ADAS features. This includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation system, lane departure warning, blind spot monitors, lane change alert, and rear cross-traffic alert.

In conjunction with the launch, customers who book either model will receive an exclusive key fob case cover and a motorsports sticker pack featuring Ralliart, Enkei, and Yokohama branding.
