iCaur 03 Previewed at Malaysia Autoshow 2025 – Chery’s electric off-roader to launch in Q3 2025

iCaur, a new sub-brand of Chery, has made its debut in Malaysia at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025. Amongst the models shown is the iCaur 03, which has been confirmed to go on sale within Q3 of 2025, alongside the iCaur V23. Prices are estimated to start from RM145,000 for the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model to RM155,000 for the all-wheel-drive (AWD) model – dubbed “Intelligent Wheel Drive” (iWD).

Known as the iCar 03 in China, the car was actually previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 last year as a Jaecoo J6 – the same name used for Thailand, where the EV SUV has already been launched. Yes, confusing, we know – but It’ll be iCaur in Malaysia from here on out, as the brand has actually been renamed for overseas markets. Anyway, we digress.

Fans of the Range Rover Evoque might love the looks of the iCaur 03. It looks something like a squashed up Land Rover Defender but more futuristic than the old guards of England. No doubt boxy, iCaur calls this design philosophy the “iBOX” design language that “highlights bold aesthetics with full-electric performance”.

Inside, the cabin impresses with a 15.6-inch infotainment display and a 9.2-inch digital instrument cluster along with a 12-speaker Infinity sound system. It is complemented by a 540-degree ‘Transparency Chassis’ camera offering comprehensive visibility across various terrains.
