There will be another new Chinese SUV in Malaysia, and this one is the Jetour Dashing. According to a Facebook post by Jetour Auto Malaysia, the Dashing will launch next month, in April 2025.
For those wondering, Jetour is a subsidiary of Chery. The brand previously previewed the Dashing and a 7-seater SUV model in Malaysia during last year’s Malaysia Autoshow 2024.
The Jetour Dashing is set to make a dashing entrance to the hotly contested C-SUV segment here in Malaysia. Measuring 4,590mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,685mm tall, the Dashing is slightly longer, wider, and taller than the Jaecoo J7, which is also found under the Chery umbrella.
Two variants will be offered: Prime and Signature, and it will be locally assembled as revealed previously by Jetour International Vice President, Kevin Xu. Powering the Jetour Dashing is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The highlight of the Dashing is undoubtedly its distinctive exterior, which looks like nothing else on the road. It sports a prominent grille with sleek daytime running lights (DRLs). The headlights are integrated into the front bumper, creating a unique look.
Inside the Jetour Dashing, you’ll find a 10.25-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster. Other interior amenities include rear air-con vents, wireless charging pads, and a refrigerated centre console.

Jetour has not announced pricing at this time, so we will have to wait until the official launch for the sticker price. The Dashing will not be the only model launched in Malaysia, the Jetour 7-seater SUV will also be making its way onto our shores under a new name.
Additionally, during a media event held early this year, Jetour International Vice President Kevin Xu announced that the company will establish over 20 service outlets nationwide, including Sabah and Sarawak.
Reportedly, this includes more than 10 4S and 3S centers, scheduled to open in Q1 2025. Additionally, new showrooms will be established nationwide, specifically in Selangor, Penang, Ipoh, Seremban, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak.
