Denza, the luxury arm of the BYD brand, has commemorated the successful deliveries of the first 200 2025 Denza D9 electric vehicle (EV) MPVs in Malaysia with the ‘Denza and BYD Electrifying Experience’ event.
The handover ceremony of the first 200 2025 Denza D9 units was held in Plaza Arkadia, Desa Parkcity. The event organised by Denza Malaysia is dedicated to the first customers who had bought the EV MPV during the launch phase last month.
“The delivery of our first 200 units of the Denza D9 marks an exciting milestone for Denza in Malaysia,” said BYD Malaysia managing director Eagle Zhao in the press release celebrating this achievement.

Bigger in every way except in height than the Toyota Alphard, the Denza D9 comes in two variants here in Malaysia: Advance, and Premium. Prices start at RM259,000 for the former, and the latter at RM309,000 on-the-road (OTR), without insurance.
The Denza D9 Advance variant spec houses a single front-mounted electric motor that generates 313 hp (230 kW) and 360 Nm of torque to the front wheels. The 0-100 km/h sprint is accomplished in 9.5 seconds for the base variant Denza D9.
Going up one level to the Denza D9 Premium variant, and the drivetrain gets an extra electric motor mounted at the rear axle for an all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration. Together, the drivetrain generates 374 hp (275 kW) and 470 Nm of torque to all four wheels, resulting in a faster century sprint time of 6.9 seconds.
Both variants of the Denza D9 are equipped with a 103.36 kWh BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. The Advance variant has a NEDC-rated EV range of 600 km, whilst the Premium variant having a 580 km of NEDC range instead due to its twin-motor setup.
Charging is supported at 11 kW on AC power, and 166 kW using a DC fast charging. With DC charging, the LFP battery packs charges from 30-80% in just 30 minutes, and 10 minutes of charging will net a 150 km EV range.
