Video: Porsche Taycan vs Audi e-tron GT: Same same, but different

Here’s an electric vehicle (EV) comparison that is a little bit more special for you guys. This time, we compared the Porsche Taycan 4S against the Audi e-tron GT, which are similar cars in multiple ways. Both cars are made by brands under the Volkswagen Group, and both feature similar dual-motor AWD powertrains.

The Porsche Taycan 4S and the Audi e-tron GT are priced very similarly too. The Taycan 4S with its Performance Battery Plus variant costs RM675,546, while the e-tron GT with its Dynamic Package can be yours at RM679,790. Here’s where the similarities end though, as both cars can’t be more different from each other, inside and out. With that being said, which of the two is the better all-electric sedan? Check out our video comparison to find out!

Performance-wise, the Porsche Taycan 4S’ dual-motor AWD system pushes our 530 hp and 650 Nm, which allows it to do the century sprint in 4.0 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 250 km/h. Thanks to its 93 kWh battery pack, the Taycan 4S’s all-electric range is rated at 505 km (WLTP).

The Audi e-tron GT’s performance figures are also closely similar to that of the Taycan 4S’. Its dual-motor AWD system makes the same amount of horsepower, at 530 hp. It makes slightly less torque than the Porsche though, at 640 Nm.

This allows the EV sedan to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and achieve a top speed of 245 km/h. Despite sharing the same 93 kWh battery pack with the Taycan 4S, the e-tron GT’s all-electric range is rated 4 km shorter than the Taycan 4S at 501 km (WLTP).

Of course, cars are way more than just their specifications. How the cars look, drive, and make you feel is equally or more important than what’s written on their spec sheets. Which EV sedan are you rooting for in this comparison video? Let us know in the comments!
