Audi Malaysia, through its authorised distributor PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), has launched the all-new third-generation Audi Q5 and Audi Q5 Sportback in Malaysia, priced from RM371,223.60, on-the-road, without insurance, and including the Audi Assurance Package (AAP).

The third-generation Audi Q5 adopts Ingolstadt’s latest design language, characterised by sleek Matrix LED headlights that flank the marque’s iconic Singleframe grille. The primary distinction between the Audi Q5 and the Q5 Sportback lies in their profiles; the Sportback features a coupe-like silhouette, whereas the standard Q5 retains a conventional SUV shape.
Adding to its sporty aesthetic, the Q5 Sportback is fitted with the S-Line exterior package, which includes more aggressive front and rear bumpers. This sportier bodystyle does, however, come at the cost of utility. While the standard Q5 offers 520 litres of boot space—expandable to 1,473 litres with the rear seats folded—the Sportback variant provides a slightly reduced 515 litres and 1,415 litres respectively.
Standard exterior equipment on the Audi Q5 Advanced 2.0 TFSI includes:

Inside, the Audi Q5 features what Ingolstadt calls the “Digital Stage”. This setup comprises a curved panoramic display housing an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit for the driver and a 14.5-inch centre touch display, which now integrates the new Audi Assistant. Both variants support Audi Connect, enabling smartphone connectivity to remotely lock or unlock the vehicle, check its status, and receive theft alerts. These functions form part of the new Digital Key feature, which allows users to manage their vehicle without a physical key fob.

Under the bonnet, the Audi Q5 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder making 199 hp and 340 Nm. On the Q5 Sportback, it gets the same mill, but outputs are increased to 272 hp and 400 Nm.
Both variants feature a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The Audi Q5 uses front-wheel drive (FWD), while the Q5 Sportback gets all-wheel drive (AWD) with quattro. Further differentiating the two variants are their suspension systems, where the Audi Q5 features comfort suspension, while the Q5 Sportback gets S Sport suspension.
For safety systems, both variants are equipped with a suite of ADAS features, which include:
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
- Blind spot monitors (BSM) with exit warning
- Lane departure warning (LDW)
- 360-degree surround view cameras
- Front emergency brake assist with swerve and front turn assist
- Front and rear cross-traffic alert
- Driver attention and fatigue monitor
- Rear seat alert
- Tyre pressure loss indicator
- Park assist with Parking system plus
The Audi Q5 is available in five exterior colours, featuring Grenadine Red, Tambora Grey, Navarra Blue, Mythos Black and Glacier White. Similarly, the Q5 Sportback comes in five shades, consisting of District Green, Grenadine Red, Daytona Grey (Pearl Effect), Mythos Black and Glacier White.
Opting for the full package places the Audi Q5 at RM371,223.60 and the Q5 Sportback at RM440,223.60. These figures include the Audi Assurance Package (AAP), which extends the manufacturer’s warranty to five years or 150,000 km. The bundle also provides five years or 75,000 km of maintenance service alongside five years of complimentary roadside assistance.
Foregoing the AAP reduces the sticker price to RM354,223.60 for the Audi Q5 and RM423,223.60 for the Q5 Sportback. However, this strips the coverage back to a basic two-year manufacturer warranty.
