You shouldn’t buy a car without test-driving it first, but with the Covid-19 pandemic still very much part of our lives, many are still understandably iffy about sharing a small enclosed space with a stranger. With that in mind, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has now unveiled a new option for customers in the Klang Valley to test drive their cars without a sales consultant!
Customers interested in utilising the new service will need to visit MMM’s official website (linked here) and submit a test drive request. A MMM authorised personnel will then contact the customers to verify and confirm the appointment, and make the necessary arrangements to deliver the test drive vehicle to the customer’s preferred location.
All touchpoints of the vehicle will be thoroughly sanitised by the staff before being handed over to the customer for a test drive, and if needed, they will be able to provide the necessary information for the vehicle. The customer is then free to test drive the vehicle for an hour before returning it to the same location as the pre-arranged pick-up point.
MMM Chief Executive Officer, Shinya Ikeda said: “As the nation move towards the endemic era, living with COVID-19 and SOPs are the new-norm challenges that we need to adapt to. As a company, we adapt our business primarily to keep our customers safe.
“Hence we offer the unaccompanied test-drive option for a peace-of-mind shopping experience. This option will allow our customers to experience the Mitsubishi cars on their terms with limited contact.”
In addition to the new unaccompanied test drive service, MMM has also completely overhauled its car-buying process in response to the Covid-19 situation and the new SOPs with the introduction of the Mitsubishi Online Showroom – the company even offers a service to deliver your new car right to your door step!
For aftersales services, customers can also utilise the Mitsubishi Connect MY mobile app to make an appointment with their preferred dealership. For further information, customers can contact MMM’s Customer Careline at 1800 18 8161.
