2026 XPeng G6 CKD now open for booking in Malaysia, deliveries to begin Aug 2026

Bermaz XPeng has announced that order books for the locally assembled (CKD) XPeng G6 are now open, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in August 2026. The announcement comes just one month after the first locally assembled units rolled off the production line.

The new CKD XPeng G6 will retain the same pricing as its CBU predecessor, which was launched last October (2025) in facelifted form. It seems that this was made possible through a special CKD bridging programme, which allowed the company to launch the car with a lower price tag while preparing for local assembly.

The entire lineup will be carried over from the outgoing CBU range, comprising the entry-level RWD Standard Range priced at RM159,948 on-the-road without insurance, the RWD Long Range Pro from RM180,013, and the range-topping AWD Performance from RM191,523.

Bermaz XPeng has yet to reveal detailed specifications for the CKD models, although they are expected to remain largely unchanged from the facelifted CBU range launched last year. As such, buyers can expect outputs of up to 487 hp and 660 Nm, a battery pack of up to 80.8 kWh, and a WLTP-rated range of up to 525 km.

The facelift also introduced an 800-volt electrical architecture, enabling DC fast charging at up to 451 kW. This allows the battery to be charged from 10-80% in just 12 minutes, or adds up to 450 km of driving range in just 10 minutes. AC charging is supported at up to 11 kW, taking around 9.2 hours for a full 5-100% charge.

What has been confirmed, however, is that all CKD variants will come equipped with the marque’s XPilot Assist advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). This includes features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centring Control, and Autonomous Parking Assist.

Bermaz Auto Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dato’ Sri Francis Lee, said, “XPeng’s leadership in AI-driven mobility aligns with Malaysia’s direction to strengthen domestic EV capabilities and build a competitive, future-ready ecosystem. With local assembly of the G6 now underway, we are proud to offer Malaysian customers a smart EV that combines advanced technology with the added value of domestic production.”

“We are also pleased to maintain the same competitive pricing for the CKD G6 while providing additional ownership benefits, ensuring that intelligent electric mobility remains accessible to more Malaysians as the nation progresses toward its electrification goals,” he added.
