Final teaser of new facelift Perodua Myvi showcases lane-keeping feature

It is just over 48 hours before Perodua fully unveils the 2021 Perodua Myvi facelift and the company is still very keen on keeping the new hatchback in our minds.

In what seems to be the fourth and final teaser clip of the new Myvi, the Lane Keep Control (LKC) system under the topic of Intelligent Safety is being showcased. The new Myvi in Cranberry Red (an exclusive colour for the facelifted AV variant) is seen to be veering to the broken lines, only to be tugged back into the centre of the lane in the latest short clip.

As mentioned in the earlier teaser image featuring the new steering wheel, the facelifted Perodua Myvi will also feature Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that works in conjunction with the Lane Keep Control to offer Level 2 semi-autonomous driving capability (adjusting distance and even curve around bends at 60 km/h and above), all under the umbrella of Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA).

As such, the new model sees a jump in retail pricing, now ranging from RM45,700 to RM58,800. Currently, all Perodua Myvi models bar the 1.3 G variants offers Advanced Safety Assist 2.0 comprising of Pre-collision Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control.

Apart from these advanced assistance systems, the PSDA suite and A.S.A 3.0 in the larger Perodua Ativa also offer automatic high beam function. The new facelifted Myvi looks set to have this feature as the new instrument panel has the icon illuminated, as well as a new headlamp design that houses segmented LED units. LED DRLs are meanwhile fitted vertically in a slim casing below the new headlamps.

Inside, the dashboard is treated with red surrounds on the air-conditioning vents as well as two-tone leather seats. The touchscreen infotainment system also looks like a larger set compared to the outgoing unit.

The new Perodua Myvi is set to be fully unveiled on November 18th at 9:00 P.M. and will be broadcast live on Perodua’s Facebook and Youtube pages. Check out the promotional website to watch all four teaser clips of the new Perodua Myvi.
