At KLIMS 2026, Perodua unveiled the C2 Concept, with “C2” standing for ‘Chapter 2’ to hint at the brand’s B-segment EV prototype.
The concept represents a new styling direction that is inspired by Malaysia’s new generation of Alpha and Beta, and is distinct from the earlier EM-O concept. While it serves as the basis for future production EV models, technical powertrain details remain unannounced, with the C2 Concept strongly hinting at a sedan or a fastback design.
Inside, the C2 features an ultra-minimalist cabin layout, sporting a futuristic dashboard with a semi-yoke steering wheel. Dashboard controls seem to consist of touch-capacitive switches on a floating-style centre console and a wrapped digital gauge cluster, though it remains highly unlikely these elements will survive the transition to the production line.
On the software front, Perodua states the prototype is heavily integrated with its P-Circle super-app ecosystem to offer digital conveniences like secure e-wallets and genuine parts delivery. It also features AI driving assistance, including real-time navigation, charging station locations, traffic updates, enhanced anti-theft features, and assisted parking.

“The C2 is part of our ongoing EV storyline. It expands our narrative of made by Malaysians for the world as we improve the future of mobility experience for our customers,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.
Beneath the fresh styling, the production derivative of the C2 Concept will likely be based on the all-new modular platform that underpins the Perodua QV-E, which was developed in collaboration with technical partner Magna Steyr.
According to Perodua, this new architecture is highly flexible. It is designed to support not only battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) but also hybrid and range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs) in the future—all with minimal modifications to the core structure.
The modular platform can accommodate wheelbases ranging from 2,550 mm to 2,700 mm, allowing it to underpin future models spanning the A- and B-segments, including SUVs, sedans, and hatchbacks.
This versatile wheelbase accommodation also allows Perodua to design vehicles ranging from 3,910 mm to 4,685 mm in length. This technically allows the architecture to cover not just A- and B-segments, but extend into the C-segment as well.
