Perodua has announced a pricing revision for its first electric vehicle (EV), the Perodua QV-E. The QV-E is now priced at RM69,999 with the accompanying Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) programme, down from RM80,000 previously. Customers who prefer to own the vehicle and battery outright can also now purchase the QV-E for RM93,999. All prices are on-the-road, without insurance.
Along with this price reduction, the BAAS leasing fee for the Perodua QV-E has also been reduced from RM275 to now RM215 per month, similarly for a total tenure period of nine years (transferable). According to Perodua, the lower pricing was made possible through increased localisation and improvements in manufacturing efficiency. The national carmaker says QV-E production has now surpassed 500 units per month.
In addition, Perodua is introducing a limited-time promotional offer aimed at helping Malaysians cope with rising living costs. From now until 30 September 2026, customers can purchase the Perodua QV-E at RM63,499, paired with a nine-year battery leasing package priced at RM215 per month. Alternatively, they can also purchase the vehicle with the battery included for RM87,499.
As for existing owners who have already purchased the vehicle under the BAAS programme, Perodua says their monthly subscription fee will also be reduced from RM275 to RM215. In addition, these customers will also receive a special refund (of unspecified value). The company states that affected owners will be contacted by their respective sales advisors in due course.

Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahamad, said “Perodua and its local vendors have been able to manufacture a significant number of parts locally, and this means that we can further protect local jobs while be less dependent on foreign technology and supply chains.”
“This development is important as we can now build a more resilient inventory of spare parts – especially the car body parts – to ensure that customers can rely on readily available domestically produced items when they need it,” he added.
For buyers who choose to own the Perodua QV-E with its battery outright but are concerned about battery degradation over time, Dato’ Sri Zainal said that the company will be introducing a battery buy-back programme for “when comes the time to dispose of it.”
