The facelifted Toyota Vios was recently introduced in Malaysia and we had the opportunity to sample it on a 1,000 km press drive. Since then we thought we ought to have some one-on-one time with the refreshed Vios.
Sporting a 2NR-FE 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine and CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) with 7 virtual ratios, the refreshed Vios commands the same 107 hp and 140 Nm driving the front wheels.
While the exterior is a hit or miss for some, it can’t be denied that the facelifted Vios comes with some of the most comprehensive safety kit in the segment with 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and 360-Degree camera.
