Output is the same at 107 hp and 140 Nm to drive the front wheels with a new Drive Mode Selector – Eco, Normal and Sport.

Lower grade variants get reflector halogen headlamps with LED daytime running lights, aero kit with red pinstriping, door visors, halogen combination taillamps, rear drum brakes and 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 185/60 profile tyres.

Stepping up to the E grade Vios and it adds a bit more flare with LED combination taillamps, rear spoiler, powered folding door mirrors, chrome plated door handle and front fog lamps. Only on the top-spec G grade, you’ll find projector halogen headlamps with LED daytime running light, chrome plating on the front grille, rear disc brakes and 16-inch dual tone alloys wrapped in 195/50 profile rubbers.

The cabin is decidedly more contemporary with leather seats, leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel with paddle shifters, Optitron instrument cluster with TFT Multi-Info Display (MID), 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with six speakers, 360-degree Panoramic View Monitor, digital panel automatic climate control, Premium Security and Solar Film as well as illuminated footwell (blue).

The mid-spec Vios 1.5 E settles for black fabric upholstery, analogue instrument cluster, urethane steering wheel with audio controls (no paddle shifters), four speakers and Premium Security and Solar Film becomes an optional item. The entry-level Vios 1.5 J, on the other hand, settles for a standard urethane steering wheel, 2-Din head unit with Bluetooth and fixed rear seats (the rest gets 60:40 split folding).

Safety is where the facelifted Vios gains a massive, massive upgrade.
