Following the successful launch of the all-new Proton X70, our national maker is pouring efforts into rejuvenating their current line up of cars, starting with the Proton Iriz hatchback. But this facelift exercise is more than just a cosmetic upgrade.

While it still uses the same 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder VVT engine and CVT box, Proton together with partner Geely have massively improved the powertrain for better drivability, refinement and fuel efficiency.

Every element of the car from the design, in-car features (1.6 Premium comes with “Hi Proton” Voice Command) and refinement have been given a huge improvement. We can tell that Proton has put in a lot of effort to have their facelifted Iriz to go up against some of the B-Segment big boys.
