MG Malaysia has just previewed the MG5 B-segment sedan and MG HS SUV with both vehicles will be launched in the coming months and are now available for booking at MG dealerships.
From Aug 23 till Sept 23, both variants will be available for viewing at selected MG Motor dealerships in Peninsula Malaysia. Below are the locations to view both models:

The MG5 is set to go against established B-segment models like the Honda City, Toyota Vios and Nissan Almera. Available in a single variant, it is estimated to cost under RM100,000.
Under the hood is a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine paired to a CVT gearbox. MG claims that the powertrain had undergone 2.3 million kilometres of testing.
The MG5 makes 114 hp and 150 Nm to drive the front wheels. Even though it’s a B-segment vehicle, the MG5’s dimensions are more similar to a C-segment vehicle. It’s about the same size as a Corolla Altis and Honda Civic, with a slightly shorter wheelbase.
The MG HS SUV on the other hand is available in two variants. The Standard is estimated to cost below RM130,000 while the more well-equipped Lux variant is estimated to cost under RM150,000.
Both variants are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It produces 162 hp and 250 Nm of torque to drive the front wheels. In terms of size, the MG HS is about the same size as the CX5 and Proton X70 but is slightly smaller than the CR-V.
Both vehicles are fully imported CBU vehicles from Thailand and will be accompanied by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty for the vehicle and a 7-year unlimited mileage warranty for the engine and transmission.
