Gallery: Nissan Almera Kuro Edition, RM11k in accessories – best-looking B-segment sedan in Malaysia?

Edaran Tan Chong Motor, the distributor of the Nissan brand in Malaysia launched the factory-fitted Kuro (Black) Package for the Nissan Almera, which transforms the car into the Nissan Almera Kuro Edition. Also introduced for the Almera is a new Glacier Grey exterior colour option.

The “Kuro Package” can be added to the Almera across the range and costs RM8,000. The “Kuro GT Package” on the other hand can be yours at RM3,200 on top of the RM8,000 Kuro Package and is available exclusively for the VLP and VLT variants only.

Add the Kuro and Kuro GT Package together, they will cost you RM11,200 in total. However, Edaran Tan Chong Motor is having a “launching promotion” for the packages, which drops the Kuro Package’s price tag to RM1,000, while the Kuro GT Package can be added to your Almera for an additional RM500 only on top of the Kuro Package. What you are seeing here is a Nissan Almera VLT with both the Kuro and Kuro GT Package added on, wearing the newly launched Glacier Grey “suit”.

On the outside, the Nissan Almera Kuro Edition in Malaysia is dressed up with a series of gloss black bits. Accessories included with the Kuro Package include a gloss black front grille cladding, the gloss black TOMEI aero kit, a youthful-looking TOMEI GT wing, and a set of 16-inch IMPUL Racing Aura HS-06 alloy wheels.

As for the rest of the car, nothing’s changed. The Nissan Almera Kuro Edition in Malaysia continues to be powered by the brand’s 1.0-litre turbocharged inline-3 petrol engine, paired with a CVT gearbox. This setup delivers 100 hp and 152 Nm to the front wheels.

Inside, you get equipment such as leather seats and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment head unit that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also included is a surround-view monitor that gives you a bird’s eye view of the car, making manoeuvring it around easier. What are your thoughts on the Nissan Almera Kuro Edition?
