Auto ConneXion-Ford establishes new parts hub in Kota Kinabalu, carrying 1,000+ fast-moving parts

On the back of launching three new Ford Ranger variants today, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford (Auto ConneXion-Ford), the sole distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia, also took the opportunity to announce a new parts hub established in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, building on its promise to improve the ownership experience across key regions.

The facility will commence with phased operations as it comes online beginning 27 July 2026, and serves as an extension of the marque’s existing Central Parts Hub in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Serving as a key enhancement to Ford’s aftersales infrastructure in East Malaysia, the facility will initially carry an inventory of approximately 1,000 fast-moving genuine Ford and Motorcraft parts, including maintenance, wear-and-tear, and accident repair components.

Its operations will directly support authorised Ford dealerships across East Malaysia by significantly reducing the lead time for fast-moving parts and by making selected parts available for same-day delivery within the Kota Kinabalu area.

The move ensures customers across East Malaysia will have easier access to genuine Ford parts and timely servicing to enable quicker repairs, boost workshop efficiency and deliver a seamless ownership experience.

In total, Auto ConneXion-Ford is backed by a network of 33 authorised Ford dealer locations nationwide, delivering support across major cities and smaller communities. This includes nine authorised Ford sales and service touchpoints across East Malaysia, comprising seven dealerships and two dedicated service-only centres, with service support extended to communities in Kapit and Mukah, Sarawak.
