New 2025 CKD Hyundai Staria open for bookings in Malaysia – same price as CBU model

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has announced that the order books for the locally assembled (CKD) Hyundai Staria are now open. Prices remain unchanged from the most recent fully imported (CBU) model, which ranges from RM179,888 to RM267,888.

Marking the first CKD model after HMY took over stewardship of the brand here in Malaysia, the new 2025 Hyundai Staria will also be introducing new exterior colour options, namely Jet Black, Snow Flake White Pearl, Meteor Grey, and Stormy Sea, which are available across all variants. The first two shades are likely to replace the existing Abyss Black Pearl and Creamy White colours.

Apart from these updates, the Hyundai Staria remains largely unchanged. It continues to be offered in four variants, with both seven- and ten-seater configurations. Power comes from a 2.2-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder engine producing 177 hp and 430 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The MPV completes the 0-100 km/h sprint in 12.4 seconds and has a top speed of 185 km/h.

Inside, the Staria comes standard with a 10-seater, four-row configuration in a 2-3-2-3 layout. It features an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch multi-information display, along with an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Notable comfort features include a six-speaker sound system, reverse camera, and front and rear climate controls.

Moving up the range, the Hyundai Staria can be had with a seven-seater, three-row layout, featuring two captain seats in the middle row with eight-way power adjustment, one-touch recline, and built-in ottomans. Additional premium features include a 12-speaker Bose sound system, dual sunroofs, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

To briefly recap, the base Hyundai Staria Style 10-seater variant starts from RM179,888 on-the-road without insurance, while the range-topping Staria Prestige 7-seater is priced at RM267,888. For more details, check out our full coverage of the model’s launch from a few months ago here.
