Likewise, the Style and Prime variants, replacing the outgoing Lite and Plus respectively, are also RM4,000 cheaper than their predecessors.
It was previously speculated that the Hyundai Staria could come with a new hybrid powertrain, as seen on the all-new Santa Fe and the updated Tucson. However, as revealed at the launch event today, all variants – including the new Prestige seven- and 10-seater – will continue to feature the same 2.2-litre CRDi turbodiesel four-cylinder engine from before.
The oil-burner makes 177 hp and 430 Nm, and is paired to an eight-speed automatic gearbox driving the front wheels. In terms of performance, 0-100 km/h on the people mover takes 12.4 seconds, and top speed is rated at 185 km/h.

Exterior-wise, the Hyundai Staria is largely unchanged, featuring the futuristic “One Curve” silhouette. The Prestige seven-seater variant, however, differentiates itself with the Brass Chrome accents applied throughout its exterior, including on the front grille, wing mirrors, door handles, and all exterior badges.
Standard equipment on the Hyundai Staria include LED headlights, LED turn indicators, Parametric Pixel rear matrix-style LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Prime adds on power-sliding doors, while the Prestige trim grade sizes the wheels up to 18-inches in diameter, with the seven-seater gaining an extra dark chrome tint.
The seven-seater also gets the full-width front lightbar for daytime-running lights, as well as a more advanced LED headlights (still reflectors).
The cabin of the new 2025 Hyundai Staria has remained roughly unchanged from before, save for the new USB-C ports throughout the interior, as well as the inclusion of automatic wipers. Seating layout remains 2-3-2-3 for the 10-seater, and 2-2-3 for the seven-seater Prestige.
Otherwise, standard equipment on the inside include remote engine start, front-and-rear two-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch multi-info display, six speakers, and a reverse camera.
The prime adds on a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, alongside a 360-degree surround view monitor, while the Prestige 10-seater throws in power-adjustable driver’s seat, auto-dimming electrochromic rear-view mirror, a Qi wireless charging pad, and a smart tailgate that automatically opens hands-free when a key fob is detected nearby.
Opting for the range-topping Prestige seven-seater will net you fancier Nappa leather upholstery, a powered front passenger seat, a 12-speaker Bose sound-system, dual sunroof, ambient lighting, and the all-important heated and ventilated Premium Relaxation captain seats, with eight-way powered adjustability, one-touch recline, and built-in ottomans.
Safety-wise, only the seven-seater Prestige variant comes with the full suite of Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features. These include:
- High beam assist
- Forward collision avoidance assist (FCA)
