All-new 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe launched in Malaysia – 6- and 7-seater variants, from RM225K

The all-new fifth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe has now launched in Malaysia for 2025, alongside the facelifted Tucson and Staria Prestige under the newly established principal-led Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY).

The all-new seven-seater SUV is available in three variants, namely the Prime, the Prestige, and the range-topping Calligraphy. It’ll arrive as a fully imported (CBU) for its first batch of vehicles, but will later be locally assembled (CKD) in Kulim, Kedah, at HMY’s new assembly plant. Prices for the flagship SUV are as follows:

  • Hyundai Santa Fe HEV Prime 7-seater – RM225,000
  • Hyundai Santa Fe HEV Prestige 7-seater – RM245,000
  • Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy 6-seater – RM270,000

The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe adopts a drastically different, boxier design compared to the outgoing model, drawing inspiration from a certain English SUV brand with a retro-futuristic twist as seen in recent models like the Ioniq line of cars and the Staria

It measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,770 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. The range-topping Calligraphy variant stands slightly taller at 1,780 mm. In terms of size, the new Santa Fe is comparable to models like the Mazda CX-8, Nissan X-Trail, and its Korean sibling, the Kia Sorento.

The bold-looking Santa Fe is further highlighted by the unique pixelated “H”-designed lights on the front and rear. Standard features of the exterior are as such:

  • H-Light LED lamp design
  • LED projector headlamps (Prestige and Calligraphy only)
  • Hidden rear wiper
  • Dark Chrome-finished radiator grille
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • Dynamic welcome lights
  • C-pillar assist handle (Calligraphy only)
  • Variant-specific front grille (Calligraphy only)

The Prestige variant adds on 20-inch alloy wheels, while the Calligraphy brings it up to 21-inch in size, along with a unique multispoke design. Five exterior colours are available on offer, namely Creamy White Pearl, Electronic Gray Pearl, Abyss Black Pearl, Ocado Green Pearl, and Earthy Brass Matte – the latter is an exclusive colour to the Calligraphy variant.

Inside, the cabin adopts a simpler yet rugged design, with the ‘H’ motif extending to the ambient lighting system and air-con vents. Dual 12.3-inch displays sit on the dashboard for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, complemented by a touch panel on the centre console for climate controls.

The all-new 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe will be offered in both six- and seven seaters – the former is reserved only to the flagship Calligraphy variant, which gets individual powered captain chairs in the second row, replete with a “Relax Mode” that automatically reclines the seats. The hybrid variants are front-wheel drive only.

Unlike the other two variants, the flagship Calligraphy gets all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard, paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
