Alongside the all-new Santa Fe and Tucson facelift, Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) – Hyundai Motor Company’s new national sales company in the country – has also previewed the Hyundai Staria Prestige, which will form part of the company’s initial product push consisting of three SUV and MPV models, as announced last week.
No pricing information has been revealed yet, but the display vehicle on preview at its media event today will give us a taste of what’s to come for the new flagship variant of the Korean people carrier.

The main differentiator for the Prestige variant is found on the outside, particularly with the Brass Chrome accents applied throughout the exterior design (7-seater exclusive), including on the front grille, wing mirrors, door handles, and on all the badges.
Otherwise, the equipment list appears to be essentially unchanged from the regular seven-seater Hyundai Staria Premium. The futuristic MPV still comes with the unique “One Curve” silhouette, and will be equipped with full LED projector headlamps in front with LED turn indicators, Parametric Pixel rear matrix-style LED tail lights, as well as 18-inch machine-finished alloy wheels.

The interior of the Hyundai Staria Prestige also appear to be untouched. Key interior equipment include the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and eight-inch infotainment display, two-zone air conditioning (front and back), Nappa leather upholstery, dual sunroof, and a 12-spekaer Bose speaker setup, the latter two exclusive to the Prestige seven-seater variant only.
On the seven-seater, the Hyundai Staria Prestige will also still come with the Premium Relaxion seats in the second row with powered seat adjustments, and also includes a powered leg rest and seat ventilation functionality.

The Hyundai Staria Prestige will continue to be powered by the 2.2-litre CRDi turbodiesel four-cylinder engine, producing 177 hp and 430 Nm. That is then paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission to drive the front wheels. Performance figures should not see any changes here, too, which means a century sprint time of 12.4 seconds, onward to a top speed of 185 km/h.
The press kit provided by HMY does mention a “Staria Prestige HEV” variant, although information on that is scarce, and the variant was also not previewed at the event today. Based on international data, it should feature the same 1.6-litre turbocharged HEV powertrain as the Santa Fe (and soon, the Tucson), with the hybrid system capable of producing a maximum power of 245 hp and a maximum torque of 367 Nm.
The new 2025 Hyundai Staria Prestige will be making its official debut here very soon, with an official launch scheduled for July 2, 2025 – so keep your eyes peeled as we bring you the latest coverage!
