MINI Malaysia brought in the big guns at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 by debuting an exciting lineup of John Cooper Works (JCW) cars. This included the JCW MINI three-door along with an electric version and the JCW Aceman. They also launched the new MINI Cooper S convertible.
Leading the showcase was the MINI JCW three-door, a nod to MINI’s racing heritage. Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 231 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 6.1 seconds. Top speed? A thrilling 250 km/h.
Following the launch of the iconic JCW were the all-electric JCW models – MINI’s first attempt at producing performance EVs. These models include the EV MINI JCW three-door and the MINI JCW Aceman.
Both models share a single front-mounted electric motor that produces 258 hp and 350 Nm. They are powered by a 54.2 kWh battery, which supports 11 kW AC charging and 95 kW DC fast charging. Using DC fast charging, a 10% to 80% recharge takes just 30 minutes.

Lastly we come to the new MINI Cooper S convertible, based on the petrol-powered Cooper S but featuring a retractable soft top. The fabric roof showcases the Union Jack flag in a sleek black and grey colour scheme. It also features a sunroof mode, allowing partial retraction for drivers who want a breeze without going full convertible.
