Zeekr is raring to show you its upcoming flagship SUV, so much that the company has just dropped some official photos of the Zeekr 9X on its Weibo account, which is slated to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show 2025.
At first glance, the Zeekr 9X seems to take a page out of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan’s book, sporting a large vertical front grille and headlights integrated into the front bumper, resulting in a similar squarish front end to the British luxury SUV. However, the Zeekr 9X incorporates its own unique touch with daytime running lights (DRLs) separated into two distinct elements.
Moving to the rear, the Zeekr 9X takes brake light strips to another level – by doubling it – complete with a Zeekr emblem sitting in the middle.
While Zeekr did not reveal any interior and powertrain specifications, their Weibo post did tease the Zeekr 9X is capable of accelerating to 100km/h from a standstill in just 3 seconds. According to reports from CarNewsChina, the Zeekr 9X is expected to be offered with fully electric (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains.

The EV variant is reported to be based on a high-voltage 900-volt architecture which supports DC charging at 480 kW. This allows the Zeekr 9X to regain 500 km of range in 10 minutes.
For the PHEV powertrain, this is expected to be a revised version of Geely’s NordThor EM-i PHEV powertrain. This PHEV powertrain is expected to seamlessly switch between pure electric, series hybrid, and parallel hybrid modes, targeting a total driving range of around 1,500 km on a full charge and tank of petrol, according to the publication.
Inside, we expect the Zeekr 9X to share some similarities with its MPV cousin, the Zeekr 009. In Malaysia, the Zeekr 009 can be configured with either seven or six seats.
The Zeekr 009 comes standard with plush Sofaro “first-class” second-row seats, boasting powered recline and sliding functions, along with a powered ottoman.
However, the Zeekr 9X could also be offered with an ultra-luxurious four-seater layout, similar to what we’ve seen in the Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition.
That top-tier setup features 24-way power-adjustable rear seats with eight massage modes. They’re controlled via an eight-inch touchscreen nestled between them, plus headrests, leg rests, and tray tables for ultimate comfort and convenience.
