The ultra-luxury Zeekr 9X has officially made its Malaysian debut, with the super-SUV on preview at KLIMS 2026 in left-hand drive guise ahead of its slated local market launch as soon as late 2026 or early 2027, with an estimated sticker price of RM800,000.
The Zeekr 9X is the marque’s first plug-in-hybrid (PHEV) model; its powertrain consists of a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and is, depending on the variant, paired with up to three traction motors which deliver a whopping 1,400 hp (1,050 kW) according to Zeekr Malaysia.
This output enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.1 seconds and a combined range of 1,250 km according to the optimistic CLTC cycle. The company did not reveal the specifications of the battery pack other than stating the 9X is based on a 900V architecture capable of a 20–80% recharge in 8.5 minutes.
In China, the Zeekr 9X is offered in four variants. The entry-level Max variant utilises dual motors drawing power from a 55 kWh battery to deliver a combined 885 hp and 935 Nm, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds, a pure-electric range of 300 km (CLTC), and a combined range of up to 1,200 km (CLTC). Stepping up to the Ultra variant gives buyers the option of a larger 70 kWh ternary lithium-ion battery, increasing the EV range to 388 km (CLTC) and the combined range to 1,250 km (CLTC).

Meanwhile, the range-topping Hyper and Obsidian Black editions serve as the 1,400 hp variants; they extract a pure EV range of 355 km (CLTC) and a combined range of 1,165 km (CLTC) from the same 70 kWh battery. It is currently unknown which variant of the Zeekr 9X will be launched in Malaysia, but the numbers suggest two variants, namely the Ultra and the Hyper.
Inside, the Zeekr 9X for Malaysia is bound to come with advanced air suspension, a three-row interior featuring Cloud Lounge seats, a 17-inch 3K OLED screen, and a 3,800W Naim audio sound system, which was previously exclusive to Bentley.
Other interior trimmings found in Chinese-spec models include a massive 47-inch augmented-reality head-up display for the driver, a choice of single or dual 16-inch infotainment screens, Nappa leather and wood veneer decking, a refrigerator, a 16.8-million-colour ambient lighting system, and 11-piece laminated soundproof glass that ensures the interior remains whisper-quiet.
Keen Malaysian bosses will have to wait a little longer for the local debut of the Zeekr 9X. The super-SUV was originally slated to launch with a price tag between RM700,000 and RM1 million, according to Zeekr Malaysia General Manager Eddy Lu during a media event in Harbin, China. However, the updated price tag of RM800,000 is still a fraction of the cost of a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which officially starts from RM1.8 million in Malaysia before taxes and options.
