Zeekr Malaysia, represented by Sentinel Automotive, has launched the Zeekr 009 fully-electric (EV) luxury MPV in Malaysia alongside the Zeekr X. The Zeekr 009 is available in two variants as a seven or six seater and is priced from RM349,800 on-the-road without insurance.

As with other Luxury MPV’s, the Zeekr 009 features a bold front fascia, featuring a unique arrangement of chrome accents that mimic the appearance of a traditional grille accented with a pair of sleek and unique elongated daytime running lights that add a futuristic touch, with the headlights seamlessly integrated into the lower bumper.
The Zeekr 009 measures 5,209 mm long, 2,024 mm wide, and 1,812 mm tall, with a wheelbase spanning 3,205 mm, making it significantly bigger than the Toyota Alphard and Velfire duo, which should translate to more interior space.
The main difference between the two variants on the outside is their wheels, but really, one blink and you’ll miss it. Because while they’re in different sizes (19-inch for Luxury, 20-inch for Ultra Luxury), they actually have the same design!
Standard exterior features of the Zeekr 009 in Malaysia includes:

Passengers stepping inside the Zeekr 009 are greeted by a minimalist sanctuary of luxury and technology. The driver’s seat offers a commanding view of the road, complemented by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but obviously, the highlight of a car like this is definitely in the rear seats.
Both variants get the Sofaro “first-class” seats for the second row, which offers powered recline and sliding functions, as well as a powered ottoman. The seats on the seven-seater are ever so slightly narrower to accommodate a walkway in between. As for the six-seater, the extra space in the armrests allows for an airplane style fold-out table, which like the seats, are also wrapped in Nappa leather.

The Zeekr 009 powertrain comprises a dual-motor electric motor setup delivering 612 hp and 693 Nm, making it the “most powerful MPV in the market”, the company claims. Not that it matters on a luxury MPV, but the Zeekr 009 is capable of completing the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds.
Both variants of the Zeekr 009 are equipped with a 116 kWh battery with a WLTP-rated range of 582 km, and 150 kW DC charging capable of achieving a 10% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. The dual-chamber air suspension system with adjustable height and damping rates automatically adapts to different road conditions, translating to enhanced comfort.
For safety features, the Zeekr 009 comes standard with a comprehensive suite of ADAS features, which includes:
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
- Lane keeping assist with lane centering control
- Front and rear autonomous emergency braking
- Blind spot monitor
- traffic sign recognition
- Door opening warning
The Zeekr 009 also comes as standard with a 360-degree surround view monitor, alongside a built-in digital video recorder (dashcam).
Included in the price of each purchase is a five-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, as well as an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty. The Zeekr 009 also comes with two years of complimentary connected services, offering 6GB per month of internet data for access to the Zeekr Connected Companion app, onboard navigation, as well as continuous system over-the-air updates.
As part of its launch celebrations, the first 500 users will also enjoy a free AC home charger worth RM8,000, a portable charger cable (three pin), and solar window film.
