The Boss Torque series is back! For the first episode of the comeback, we have Colony Co-Founder and CEO Timothy Tiah, better known as Tim Tiah, the former Businessweek top Asian entrepreneur and Ernst & Young award winner who went from pioneering digital advertising with Nuffnang and Netccentric to ruling the premium co-working space market. Hosting the show is our very own GC Mah, with both bosses seated inside the Zeekr 009.
We cannot possibly compress their entire hour-long, insight-packed video into a brief article, meaning you will simply have to watch the full episode to catch those corporate gems, but we can comfortably dissect the Zeekr 009, the bossmobile chosen for the first episode of the comeback.
Dubbed by GC as the MPV that Rolls-Royce never made, the Zeekr 009 is currently available in Malaysia across three variants, with a fourth arriving soon. Bookings are now open for the incoming range-topping variant, the Zeekr 009 Grand, which carries an estimated price tag of RM600,000. For roughly double the entry cost, this ultra-luxury version features a stripped-back, four-seat interior layout, a stark contrast to the standard six- and seven-seat configurations of the existing line-up that retail between RM299,800 and RM359,800.

Powertrain specifications are not disclosed, but the Zeekr 009 was recently updated in China, where it is now based on a new 900V architecture, where its dual-motor powertrain now produces 925 hp and 913 Nm, which bosses from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and onwards to a top speed of 220 km/h.
For comparison, the current Zeekr 009 sold in Malaysia in the Luxury and Ultra-Luxury variants has an AWD powertrain making 612 hp and 693 Nm. This means the updated 009 delivers an additional 313 hp and 220 Nm over the pre-update MPV.
These 925 horses are juiced by an 115 kWh battery, enabling a range of 720 km according to the optimistic CLTC standards. With support for 6C charging, this battery can recharge from 10-80% in only 10 minutes with a compatible DC charger.
