There’s a GR Toyota Hiace, but it’s not quite what you think. Toyota’s Gazoo Racing division has released a range of sporty add-ons for the fifth-generation H200 Hiace van, giving it a touch of visual flair, but it’s only available in Japan.
For those hoping for a more powerful Toyota Hiace ready for speedy deliveries, prepare for disappointment as these optional parts, are purely cosmetic and do not offer any performance upgrades. They include body add-ons and upgrades offered in two packages starting from JPY 231,000 (approx. RM6,700), and are inspired by off-road design, says Toyota.
The add-ons are offered in packages, starting with Version I. This package includes a chunkier front bumper with integrated LEDs and a metal-look bash plate, as well as a new rear bumper. Version II adds a front splitter and side skirts.
For those seeking a more aggressive look, a set of 15-inch polished six-spoke GR alloy wheels fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 high-performance tyres are also available. There’s also a choice of red or black GR mudflaps, tyre valve caps, and a GR anti-theft number-plate frame.

Aside from the GR parts, Toyota also offers styling packages and upgrades for the Hiace through its Modellista brand, which has more parts, that includes sports exhausts, more alloy wheel designs, and interior accessories like leather seat upholstery.
In Malaysia, the fifth-generation Toyota Hiace (H200) is sold concurrently with the sixth-generation Hiace. The fifth-generation Hiace is on sale at RM123,000, as a panel van. Powering the H200 Hiace is a 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel making 136 hp and 300 Nm, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
