Of course, there’s now a bodykit to turn the Toyota Crown Sport into a Ferrari Purosangue

Google the Toyota Crown Sport, and you’ll see an almost unending list of articles from all over the world comparing the Japanese SUV to the Ferrari Purosangue. Yeah, we’re guilty of it, too, but can you really blame us when the two share essentially the same headlight design?

Well, since the two cars look so similar anyway, an enterprising tuning shop from Japan that goes by the name “Aero Over” has decided to go all-out, embracing the coincidence with a new body kit that straight-up turns the Toyota Crown Sport into a Ferrari Purosangue.

That the two cars look so similar, though, means that Aero Over really didn’t have to do at all. There’s a new splitter below the front bumper with a more aggressive profile, new bumpers at the back to house the new quad-exit tailpipes, a new set of wheels inspired by the Ferrari, and that’s pretty much it.

A set of Ferrari-inspired badges and decals complete the look, although we wish Aero Over’s lawyers good luck with those, seeing how litigious the Italian supercar maker can be when it comes to their trademarks…

The Ferrari conversion kit was unveiled at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, and Aero Over even cheekily parked their showcar next to an actual Ferrari Purosangue for comparison. Carscoops reports that the Aero Over kit starts at JPY250,000 (approx. RM7.2k) for the front splitter and rear diffuser set, with another JPY250,000 required if you want the custom exhaust setup.

The emblems cost JPY10,500 (approx RM300) altogether, and even when you take into account taxes, installation fees, and the cost of a Toyota Crown Sport itself (from JPY5.9 million, approx RM170k), the whole shebang would still only come in at a fraction of the Purosangue’s actual price tag.

Of course, you’ll also only be getting a fraction of the Purosangue’s 725 hp from the glorious 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine. Decisions, decisions…
