Hyundai has introduced the facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the US, featuring a new rugged XRT variant designed for off-road adventures. The expanded lineup offers enhanced range, innovative features, improved performance and safety, and an NACS (North America Charging Standard) charging port. The facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be the first model produced at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) in Georgia.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT boasts a rugged exterior with off-road-inspired enhancements. Notable features include dark-toned plastic bumpers and underbody cladding adorned with a distinctive digital camouflage pattern. Two red towing hooks adorn the front, complemented by various black accents. Among the colours of the XRT variant, there are two exclusive colours: Ultimate Red and Cosmic Blue Pearl.

It features enhancements specifically designed for off-road driving. These upgrades include a lift kit that raises the vehicle’s ground clearance by 23 mm, along with rugged 18-inch rally-inspired alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires. These modifications result in an increase in approach and departure angles to 19.8° and 30°, respectively.
The Ioniq 5 XRT’s rugged exterior is complemented by a robust interior. The XRT-branded front seats upholstered in H-Tex fabric and all-weather floor mats create a durable and practical cabin. Black accents throughout the interior, including the headliner and various trim elements, further enhance the rugged aesthetic.

The Ioniq 5 XRT shares its powertrain with the dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant of the facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited. This configuration delivers a combined output of 321 hp and 605 Nm. The larger 84 kWh battery pack enhances the electric range, allowing for up to 450 km of driving on a single charge.
In addition to the new XRT trim, the US-spec facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 5 Limited also features a NACS port, making it the first Hyundai EV compatible with Tesla Superchargers. This eliminates the need for an adapter, providing greater convenience for owners.
