As part of the Merdeka and Malaysia Day festivities, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia is introducing a new ‘Merdeka Exclusive Book & Win’ campaign, running from August 15 to September 30, 2024.
Customers who book a GWM Ora 07 or Ora Good Cat during the campaign period (and register before October 31, 2024) will stand a chance to win “luxurious travel vouchers” totalling RM30,000, with eight vouchers up for grabs:
- Grand Prize: RM7,500 travel voucher (1 winner)

The Ora Good Cat has recently received a price cut here in Malaysia, with the retro-inspired EV model now priced at RM113,800 for the 400 Pro variant, and RM143,800 for the 500 Ultra. Both variants are powered by the same single motor configuration with 143 hp (105 kW) and 210 Nm, and are mainly differentiated by their battery sizes giving them 400 km (NEDC) and 500 km of range respectively.
As for the GWM Ora 07, the “streamlined electric coupe” is offered in two variants, starting at RM169,800. Both variants are equipped with the same 83.5 kWh battery pack, translating to an electric range of 640 km (NEDC) for the Long Range Ultra variant, and 550 km on the Performance.
Both GWM Ora models are covered by a comprehensive warranty package, including an eight-year/180,000 km warranty for their battery and electric drive components, a 1-to-1 battery pack replacement guarantee when battery SOH falls below 70%, and a 12-year body warranty for rust and corrosion.
The Ora Good Cat comes as standard with a five-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty as standard (excluding wear and tear parts), while the pricier Ora 07 is covered by a 6+2-year/180,000 km vehicle warranty.
