GWM Malaysia has announced an updated leadership team, which it says “reinforces its long-term commitment to the Malaysian market” as the company accelerates its next phase of business expansion, including wider localisation and manufacturing plans.
To that end, Mike Cui Anqi, previously the sole managing director of the company, will now be joined by Stan Li Hao at the top of the leadership chart. Li will be managing the commercial operations side of the business, while Cui will focus his efforts on corporate affairs for the company.
The duo will be joined by Chief Operating Officer, Roslan Abdullah, whose extensive leadership experience multiple established brands will continue to play a key role in steering the company’s long-term strategic direction and business growth.
Stan Li brings with him more than 12 years of automotive experience across the ASEAN region, with a particular expertise in market development, strategic growth, and brand expansion. Meanwhile, Cui, who has been part of GWM Malaysia since its early establishment phase, will continue to help drive the company’s localisation efforts, manufacturing development, and operational growth in the country.

GWM Malaysia says that the strengthened management lineup reflects its serious long-term commitment to the market, reinforcing the company’s ambition to accelerate business expansion and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities, continuing to build a stronger local ecosystem while advancing its position in the market as a “technology driven mobility brand for Malaysian consumers”.
At the ongoing 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026), GWM Malaysia is previewing two models that will soon be making an official entrance into the Malaysian market. These include the GWM Ora 5 HEV, a hybrid compact B-segment crossover, alongside the Haval H7 Hi4, a rugged boxy SUV powered by the marque’s Hi4 plug-in hybrid all-wheel drive powertrain.
The brand also recently launched the GWM Tank 300 HEV in Malaysia, highlighting its commitment to electrification. The new hybrid variant of the off-roader SUV is priced at RM259,800, or RM9,800 more than the standard petrol-powered alternative.
