XPeng G6 ROI opens for Malaysia, EV with up to 755km range

Bermaz Xpeng Sdn. Bhd has just put up a teaser for the soon-to-be-launch XPeng G6 SUV on its social media pages and has opened registration of interest (ROI) for the car. Interested individuals may head to XPeng Malaysia’s official website to register their interests by providing details such as name, contact number, email, state, and district.

The XPeng G6 is a fairly large fully electric coupe SUV, comparable in size to the Hyundai Santa Fe. Unveiled in Thailand in March 2024, the Xpeng G6 comes in Standard Range and Long Range. The Standard Range starts at 1.5 million baht (approximately RM200,000), while the Long Range starts at 1.7 million baht (approximately RM230,000).

For comparison, the Tesla Model Y in Thailand at the time had a starting price of 1,749,000 baht (approximately RM229,700) for the base model, rising to 2,049,000 baht (approximately RM269,200) for the Long Range AWD version. In Malaysia, the Tesla Model Y is priced from RM191,000 for the RWD, from RM238,000 for the Long Range AWD, and from RM280,000 for the Model Y Performance.

In China, the G6 is offered in multiple variants with both single- and dual-motor setups, offering up to 487 hp (358 kW) and 660 Nm of outputs, and an electric driving range from 580-755 km (CLTC).
