MG Cyberster launched in Indonesia, approx. RM489k – coming to Malaysia?


The MG Cyberster has been launched in Indonesia at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Offered in a sole all-wheel drive (AWD) variant, the Cyberster comes with a price tag of 1,688,000,000 rupiah (approx. RM489k).

On the outside, the MG Cyberster is fitted with standard features such as LED headlights, LED taillights, and a staggered 20-inch alloy wheel setup with the front tires measuring 245/40/R20 and the rear tires 275/35/R20. Also included are a set of red calipers and the supercool supercar-like scissor doors.

Powering the MG Cyberster in Indonesia is an all-wheel drive (AWD) electric motor setup that puts out 544 hp and 725 Nm. This allows the all-electric roadster to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and achieve a top speed of 200 km/h.

The MG Cyberster boasts a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, equipped with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. This battery offers a potential travel range of up to 503 kilometers based on the NEDC standard. The Cyberster also supports DC fast charging at a maximum rate of 140 kW, enabling the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% state of charge in approximately 26 minutes.

Inside, the Indonesian-spec MG Cyberster is fitted with Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery, a triple screen setup that consists of a 10.25-inch and two 7-inch displays, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Also here is a 64-color ambient lighting system and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

In terms of safety, the MG Cyberster in Indonesia is equipped with active safety features like a Driver Monitor System (DMS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), and Emergency Lane Keeping System (ELK). Other safety features available here are such as Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB), and so on.
