KLIMS 2024 announces “Beyond Mobility” theme focusing on EVs and autonomous tech

KLIMS is coming back for 2024, but this year, the ‘M’ in the name now stands for ‘Mobility’ – as in Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show. The 10th edition of the expo will be happening on 5-11 December 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), with tickets going on sale soon starting at RM20.

This year’s KLIMS has been themed “Beyond Mobility”, particularly to emphasise on its focus on sustainability, electrification, and the “future of mobility” such as autonomous driving. So expect to see lots of EV showcases at the exhibition this year, from a wide range of carmakers – it is billed as “Malaysia’s largest mobility show”, after all.

Brands that have already confirmed their participation at KLIMS 2024 include Perodua, Proton, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Kia, Mazda, GWM, MG Motor, and GAC. More brands are set to be announced closer to the show, joined by a variety of other automotive service providers including EV charging experts Kineta.

With the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) joining the show as a strategic partner, KLIMS 2024 will also act as an avenue for technology vendors to showcase their latest innovations in the automotive sector. Intriguingly, MARii themselves also run the Malaysia Autoshow, which was only held earlier this year.

“We are excited to bring together industry leaders, global brands, and enthusiasts at KLIMS to shape the future of mobility and innovation. This year, we are proud to partner with the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) to elevate KLIMS 2024 and enhance the capabilities of all automotive stakeholders,” he added.

While tickets are not officially on sale yet, entry prices have already been announced: Adult tickets are RM20 on weekdays and RM25 on the Friday and weekends. Teenagers aged 13 to 17 years old, as well as college and university students up to 25 years old, will also be eligible to a special price of RM10 per entry.
