Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has launched its flagship all-electric Ora model – the Ora 07. Available in two variants, the Long Range Ultra and Performance, the all-electric sedan is priced from RM169,800 onwards (excluding 8% SST).
Set to rival the likes of the BYD Seal and Tesla Model 3, the Ora 07 in Malaysia is equipped with standard exterior kits such as LED headlights, LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and an electrically retractable spoiler. Opting for the Performance variant gets you larger 19-inch alloys.
Performance-wise, you get a single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) electric motor with the Ora 07 in Malaysia, producing 204 hp (metric) and 340 Nm. The more powerful Performance variant gets a more powerful dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup that puts out 408 hp (metric) and 680 Nm.
Both variants of the Ora 07 in Malaysia are equipped with the same 83.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. This results in NEDC-rated all-electric ranges of 640 km and 550 km respectively.

In terms of charging, the Ora 07 in Malaysia is able to handle a maximum AC charging rate of 11 kW, allowing the car to be charged from flat to full in 15 hours. DC charging can also be done at a maximum rate of 88 kW, which can juice the car up from 30 to 80% in just 32 minutes.
Moving inside the Ora 07 in Malaysia, you get standard features such as black leather upholstery, ventilated powered front seats with massage function, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a 12.3-inch infotainment display that supports wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as an 11-speaker Harman Infinity sound system. The Performance variant gets you a brown leather upholstery, which is also an optional item for the Long Range variant for an additional RM2500.
In the safety department, the Ora 07 comes with features like adaptive cruise control (ACC), intelligent cruise assistance (ICA), and lane keep assist (LKA) standard. You also get a 360-degree camera system, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and blind spot detection (BSD), among other features.
