Ahead of the local launch of the all-new third-generation MINI Countryman, the company has now announced the availability of a new limited-edition “John Cooper Works (JCW) Trim” as a swansong variant for the Cooper S Countryman, as they bid farewell to the much-loved MINI SUV (or rather, SAV in BMW-speak).
Limited to just 168 units in the country, the run-out version will come equipped with a JCW aerodynamic kit that includes sportier bumpers both front and back, rear spoiler, and a set of 19-inch JCW Circuit Spoke alloy wheels, shod in run-flat tyres.
The limited-edition variant will be offered in four exterior colour choices, namely British Racing Green, Chilli Red, Nanug White, and Sage Green, all in limited quantities, naturally.

Inside, the MINI Cooper S Countryman JCW Trim sports a set of unique MINI JCW door sill finishers, alongside anthracite-coloured sun visors, dome light housing, as well as anthracite-coloured lining on the roof and pillars.
That’s pretty much the extent of the changes here, though; the limited-edition variant still comes standard with the usual interior features as before, including the new five-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8.8-inch infotainment display with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity, as well as the 12-speaker Harman Kardon HiFi sound system.
No mechanical changes underneath the bonnet, too, with the JCW Trim edition still powered by the same B48 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, sending 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Century sprint on this configuration is completed in 7.5 seconds, as it pushes towards a top speed of 226 km/h.
The MINI Cooper S Countryman JCW Trim is priced at RM264,233 on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the optional five-year extended warranty and service package which usually retails at RM10,400.
The standard Cooper S Countryman is currently priced at RM260,788 with the warranty and service package, which means you’ll be paying RM3,445 for some extra flashy bits – which, for some people, is completely worth it. Hey, we’re not judging.
