MINI Malaysia has launched a Malaysian special edition of the MINI Countryman. Called the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition, it fetches a price of RM264,888, essentially costing RM5,000 more than the standard Cooper S Countryman.
The artwork on the roof of the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition is the design of Malaysian artist Jared Lim, aka ‘Professional Crayon’. The roof artwork is a ‘foliage’ design that supposedly showcases the rich tapestry of Malaysian flowers while highlighting the many classic elements of the MINI brand. You can basically see the MINI emblem wing peeking through the leaves.
Based on the MINI Cooper S Countryman, everything else besides the roof has remain unchanged. The iconic bonnet stripes, roof rails, and side sills are still present. Other things that have been retained include the decorative elements on both the front and rear bumpers, the aluminiumkmatt sump guard, and automatic LED headlight with cornering functionality.
Like the Cooper S Countryman, the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine that outputs 192 hp and 280 Nm. It completes the century sprint in 7.5 seconds, onward to a top speed of 226 km/h. Paired with the engine is a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

On the inside, the Countryman Roof Art Edition also retains the Cooper S Countryman’s interior. Interior highlights include the 8.8-inch touchscreen, 5-inch digital instrument cluster, head up display, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon HiFi Loudspeaker System.
The MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition will be available in three body colours, namely the British Racing Green, Chilli Red and Island Blue – all in limited quantities. The RM264,888 price tag is inclusive of with the MINI 4 Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service.
