Not long after its first public debut in Malaysia, the 2023 Hyundai Tucson has now been officially launched – with 3 variants to choose from and with a starting price of RM158,888. There are 2 powertrain options for the Tucson: the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine and the 1.6-litre turbocharged mill.

  • Hyundai Tucson 2.0 Lite – RM158,888
  • Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Plus – RM178,888
  • Hyundai Tucson 1.6T Max – RM195,888

The Tucson is a C-segment SUV that measures 4,630 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,665 mm in height. Its wheelbase measures 2,755 mm and the Tucson has a ground clearance of 2,755 mm.

Standard exterior equipment on the Tucson include:

The 1.6T Plus variant adds:

There are 2 powertrain options for the Hyundai Tucson in Malaysia. The 2.0 Litre’s Smartstream MPI engine produces 156 hp (metric) and 192 Nm of torque, and is paired with a six-speed automatic, whereas the other two variants combine a turbocharged Smartstream 1.6 TGDi engine that develops 180 hp (metric) and 265 Nm of torque with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (DCT) that features push-button gear selection. Both powertrain options are front-wheel drive (FWD) layouts.

Inside, the Tucson sports a vertically-themed dashboard that doesn’t succumb to the trend of twin screen displays. The cabin design is rather conventional despite the button-type gear selector on the centre console. Standard interior equipment on the all-new Hyundai Tucson for Malaysia include:
