The pocket rocket from Mercedes-AMG is no stranger to anyone if you know a thing or two about performance cars. What you see here is the facelifted Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Street Style Edition. It is RM30,000 more expensive compared to the regular A 45 S 4MATIC+ at RM539,888, on the road without insurance.
The car uses the same powertrain as the facelifted A 45 S 4MATIC+. Retaining the M139 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, it produces 416 hp and 500 Nm. With the eight-speed AMG Speedshift 8G dual-clutch transmission and 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive (AWD) system, 0-100 km/h is done in 3.9 seconds and it will eventually reach a top speed of 270 km/h.

The A 45 S 4MATIC+ Street Style Edition gets the Mountain Grey Magno exterior paint from the company’s Manufaktur palette. The car also gets the Aerodynamic Package and the Night Package as standard like the regular A 45 S, which includes a front splitter, horizontal slats for the radiator grille, and canards on the bumper in gloss black with fluorescent orange accents on top of it.
Moving to the sides, there are AMG letterings with chequered flag background side decals found on the lower sections of the car. The Street Style Edition also comes with 19-inch cross-spoked forged alloy wheels completed with bright red brake callipers. The black and orange combo has also been extended to the side skirts and wing mirrors.

At the rear of the car, it gets a similar colour combo for the rear wing, side vents and the rear diffuser. If you’ve been wondering why there’s no mention of any “Street Style” badging. Well… there’s actually none on the exterior.
Upon opening the door, the car gets Artico synthetic leather and Microcut microfibre upholstery on the AMG Performance seats (with orange “A 45 S” embroidery), AMG steering wheel, and throughout the cabin. Fluorescent orange contrast stitching also runs across the dashboard and door panels. However, you get the regular black seatbelts instead of the red ones found on the regular A 45 S 4MATIC+.

If you look down, you will finally be reminded that this is a special edition of the A 45 S with the “Street Style Edition” script on the carpets.
Other features of the A 45 S Street Style Edition (which is also available on the regular A 45 S) include a 64-colour ambient lighting, a Burmester surround sound system and a sliding panoramic sunroof. Safety-wise, the car is offered with a 360-degree surround view monitor, the driving assistance package which includes lane keep assist (LKA), adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitoring system (BSM) and autonomous emergency braking (AEB) as standard.
To recap, the standard A 45 S 4MATIC+ will set you back at RM509,888 but if you like all the extra bits mentioned above, the Street Style Edition will cost RM30,000 extra at RM539,888. These prices are on-the-road (OTR) and without insurance, and are also inclusive of the standard 5-year/unlimited mileage warranty.
