2023 Kia Carnival 11-seater now CKD in Malaysia – price increased to RM215k, specifications unchanged

Dinamikjaya Motors, the sole distributor of the Kia brand in Malaysia, has finally now added the 11-seater Kia Carnival into its locally assembled (CKD) line-up, alongside the previously-unveiled seven- and eight-seater variants.

Despite now being built at the Inokom Assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah though, pricing has actually gone up to RM215,229 on-the-road, without insurance – we think that our weakening currency probably had a little to do with that. As an introductory offer, though, the company will be offering the new CKD model at a special promotional price of RM199,841 – find out more below.

In terms of standard equipment, the new CKD 2023 Kia Carnival 11-seater comes with automatic LED projector headlights with integrated LED daytime-running lights up front, LED front fog lamps bulb-type combination tail lamps, dual Smart Power Sliding Doors, Smart Power Liftgate, roof rails, as well as a set of 18-inch alloys on the outside.

Inside the cabin, the wide dashboard layout is complemented by a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, analogue instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch TFT multi-info display, wireless smartphone charging pad, a three-zone climate control panel (two front, one rear), as well as seven USB charging ports littered throughout the cabin.

The front passengers get eight-way power adjustability for their seats, with an additional two-way lumbar support adjustment for the driver, while the rear passenger quarters consists of a three-row 3-3-2 seating configuration, all with manual folding capabilities.
